Full-Day Kathmandu Heritage Tour Itinerary
10:00 AM: Boudhanath Stupa Exploration
Your expert guide will meet you at your Kathmandu hotel lobby with a private vehicle (size appropriate for your group). We'll drive to Boudhanath Stupa, the largest Buddhist stupa in South Asia dating back to the 6th century during King Shiva Dev's reign. This sacred site remains one of Nepal's most important Buddhist pilgrimage centers. Spend approximately one hour exploring this magnificent stupa.
11:30 AM: Pashupatinath Temple Visit
A short 10-minute drive brings us to Pashupatinath Temple, the most sacred Hindu temple complex in Nepal dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Witness traditional cremation ceremonies along the holy Bagmati River, which Hindus believe connects to the sacred Ganges in Varanasi. Learn about Hindu beliefs regarding the journey of the soul after death.
12:30 PM: Journey to Patan (Lalitpur)
We'll travel to the ancient city of Patan, renowned for its exquisite Newari architecture and artistic heritage.

Enjoy traditional Newari cuisine at a carefully selected local restaurant in Patan, featuring authentic flavors of the Kathmandu Valley.
1:30-3:00 PM: Patan Durbar Square Tour
Explore the magnificent Patan Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring stunning examples of Malla Dynasty architecture (12th-16th century). Highlights include the Krishna Temple, Taleju Temple, Mul Chowk, Sundari Chowk, Royal Bath, Bhimsen Temple, and the Golden Temple. Patan is also famous for its traditional handicrafts and metalwork.
3:00-4:30 PM: Swayambhunath Stupa Visit
Our final stop is the ancient Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), a sacred site combining both Hindu and Buddhist elements. This hilltop complex offers panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley and features the Harati Mata Temple alongside numerous Buddhist shrines.
